Personal data
Privacy policy
This page describes how MER GROUPE, publisher of the site belgiumshuttle.be, processes the personal data sent to it, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data is collected
The only data collected is what you voluntarily send through the transfer request form, or by phone and email:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Pick-up address or place and destination
- Date and time of the journey
- Number of passengers and items of luggage
- Flight number, where applicable
- Any information you choose to add in the "message" field
No sensitive data is requested. Please do not send information relating to your health, your payment methods or your identity documents through the form.
Why this data is processed
This data is used solely to handle your request: to set a price, organise the transfer and come back to you about it. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request, then performance of the contract if the booking is confirmed.
Your data is neither sold, rented nor passed to third parties for commercial purposes. You are not subscribed to a newsletter and will not receive promotional messages as a result of your enquiry.
Retention period
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for a maximum of twelve months, so that a follow-up or a similar request can be handled. Data relating to a transfer actually carried out is kept for the period required by Belgian accounting and tax obligations.
Advertising identifiers and campaign parameters recorded in the technical log together with a request are deleted after 90 days. Campaign parameters shown in the e-mail we receive follow the retention period of the request.
Recipients
The data is accessible to the staff of MER GROUPE responsible for organising transfers. It passes through our host, Hostinger International Ltd., acting as a technical processor for hosting the site and delivering messages.
When a transfer is confirmed, the information strictly necessary to carry it out (name, phone, pick-up address, time) is passed to the driver handling the journey.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 and the measurement tools of Google Ads, deployed through Google Tag Manager. They serve to measure traffic, to understand which pages genuinely answer visitors' questions, and to know which advertising campaigns bring in transfer requests.
No advertising is served on this site. Personalised advertising remains disabled: the ad_personalization setting is kept at denied even when you accept, so your data is not used to build an advertising profile.
Nothing loads before you agree. Until you accept, no Google script is downloaded and no analytics cookie is set. Google's consent mechanism (Consent Mode v2) is initialised as denied for every category, including advertising ones.
If you accept, the following cookies may be set:
_gaand_ga_<identifier>— distinguish visitors anonymously and measure sessions. Duration: up to 13 months._gcl_au— allows a transfer request to be attributed to the advertising campaign that brought it. Duration: 90 days.
The IP address is truncated before processing. Google's measurement data is aggregated and is not sent to Google together with your contact details. The origin of your request, described below, stays with us.
Google Ireland Limited acts as a processor. A transfer of data to the United States is possible; it is framed by the standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can consult Google's privacy policy.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Your decision is stored in your browser's local storage (key bs_consent_v2), not in a cookie. To change it, click “Manage my choices” at the bottom of any page: the banner reappears immediately and the origin information kept in the tab is erased. You can also clear the site data for belgiumshuttle.be in your browser settings.
You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or enable your browser's "Do Not Track" option.
Declining has no consequence: every feature of the site, the form included, works identically.
Origin of your request
If you accepted audience and conversion measurement and you reach the site from a Google Ads advertisement or a campaign link, we temporarily keep in your browser tab's memory (session storage, key bs_attr_v1): the ad-click identifier (GCLID, GBRAID or WBRAID), the campaign parameters (source, medium, campaign, keyword, content), the landing page and the site you came from. This memory disappears when you close the tab and is erased if you refuse or withdraw your consent (“Manage my choices” link at the bottom of the page).
When you send the form, this information is added to your request, only if your consent is still in force, so that we know which campaign brought it. The full click identifier is recorded in the site's technical log, where it is deleted after 90 days; the request itself is kept for the period stated above. The e-mail we receive contains only a shortened extract of that identifier.
This information is not sold, not sent to Google together with your contact details, and not used for personalised advertising. If you refuse or have made no choice, none of it is read or kept, and your request is handled in exactly the same way.
Protection against automated submissions
The form includes technical measures to filter out automated submissions, notably a hidden field and a check on how long the form took to complete. These mechanisms collect no additional personal data and set no cookies.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as a right to portability. To exercise them, write to info@belgiumshuttle.be setting out your request.
If you consider that the processing of your data is not compliant, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — dataprotectionauthority.be.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Data sent through the form travels over an encrypted connection and is not stored in a public database accessible from the site.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be adapted as the site or the applicable regulations evolve. The version online is the one that applies.
